The Linked Conservation Data consortium (https://www.ligatus.org.uk/lcd), is investigating the potential of Linked Data for conservation documentation (previously reported here: https://www.ssaette.gr/node/1709).

The first event of the project will be a webinar on the 3rd of May 2019 from 5:30-7:30pm Greek time.

The program includes Thanasis Velios and Kristen St.John introducing the Consortium and the basic premises of Linked Data. Then there will be three presentations by different groups aligned with cultural heritage/conservation who are either developing Linked Data projects or are studying the potential in their areas:

• Case studies from TMS conservation: Jay Hoffman, Vadim Soshkin, Danielle Uchitelle (Gallery Systems)
• DISCO user survey and Linked Data plans: Dennis Wuthrich (Farallon Geographics), Robert Sanderson (Getty)
• Conservation data and ResearchSpace: Dominic Oldman (British Museum)
