Triennially, CRAC organizes a Technical Conservation-Restoration Meeting. This year's edition is the seventeenth, titled "The Evolution of Specializations in Conservation-Restoration: New Challenges and Professional Profiles." It will take place on November 23rd and 24th, 2023, in both in-person and virtual formats.

The central theme revolves around how conservation-restoration currently deals with an increasingly unusual and diverse heritage. The profession faces new challenges, such as recent typologies and materials, which require all professionals working in cultural heritage to adopt new methodologies supported by scientific research and technological advancements.

I am attaching the program, which includes 14 oral presentations and 12 posters. As in previous editions, we will have an inaugural lecture, a roundtable discussion, and a technical visit.

We have designed a hybrid format (both in-person and virtual) to reach a wider audience. The virtual format will be conducted through a platform where you can watch live-streamed video conferences with a chat for questions and where posters and session videos will be available. In addition, we will have a simultaneous translation system into English and Spanish for all conferences.

It would greatly assist us if your institution could help promote the event through your regular communication channels. Registrations will remain open until November 20th, with discounts available until October 19th, as well as special rates for students and members of various cultural heritage professional associations.
